Seven declared runners :
Third in this race last year Cambrydge (Zacan El Baraka), trained by Sandrine Tarrou and owned by Gérard Augustin-Normand, faces a tough opposition from Qatar.
Alban de Mieulle has three runners. Damis (Amer) ridden by Olivier Peslier, who gets on very well with arabian horses, had a good season last winter in Qatar except for a seventh place in the Emir’s Sword (Gr. 1 PA). Divamer (Amer) has been away from the racecourse for a long time and it will be his comeback race. Raihan (Amer) always displays a lot of courage.
Julian Smart trains the other two horses from Qatar : nine year old Asraa Min Albarq (Amer) narrowly beaten in the Emir’s Sword (Gr.1 PA) and Areej (Amer) winner of the Qatar Arabian World Cup last season.
Sartejano (Dormane) did not run well in Berlin two weeks ago but had a good season so far.
