Right in the midst of this incredible race
meeting, the best pure bred Arabians in the world will also make the journey to take part in one of the
three PA Gr.1 races of the Qatar Arabian Trophy, which will take place on the Friday at Saint-Cloud
and the Saturday at Longchamp, whilst the best older horses will be up against each other in the Qatar
Arabian World Cup (PA Gr.1) on the Sunday.
A source of winners at the highest level
Pure bred Arabian graduates of the Saint-Cloud sale have recently been making their mark at the
highest level including the likes of top class champions such as DAHOR DE BRUGERE and AL
NACHMIYA. By Dahess, DAHOR DE BRUGERE (bought for €20,000 by F.B.A. in 2010) unbeaten
in four starts, has twice won at PA Gr.1 level in 2012 in the colours of Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al
Thani, most notably taking the Al Rayyan Cup (Prix Kesberoy) this summer at Deauville. Champion
filly AL NACHMIYA (top price of the 2011 sale at €350,000) also shined in the grey and red colours
of Sheikh Joaan Al Thani, taking the Qatar Arabian Trophy (PA Gr.1) with great authority at three
years old, before winning two PA Gr.2 in the Spring.
