At a press conference held at Newbury Racecourse today (Monday) His Excellency Mirza Al Sayegh announced the renewal of the Dubai International Arabian Race Day Journalists Competition with an additional category for the best published photograph.

A single prize to the will be awarded in the ‘open’ category which recognises international print media and other forms of coverage including, TV, radio and web publications.
His Excellency Mirza Al Sayegh said, “Since we launched this initiative to reward journalistic excellence in 2009 it has been extremely well supported and has helped to highlight the excitement of the Dubai International Arabian Race Day and raise the profile of Arabian racing.
“The many different sporting and cultural aspects of the event provide extensive opportunities for photographers to demonstrate their creativity and we look forward very much to reviewing the entries and rewarding their contribution to the success of this unique occasion.”
Submissions will be considered by a panel of judges chaired by Abdulla Al Ansari, Head of Media on the committee established by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan to promote the Newbury fixture.
