On Saturday the 22nd of July the Jockey Club de São Paulo will feature the Wathba Stallion Cup Festival. Purebred Arabians will compete for the GP Munjiz (Group 3), 1.400 meters, Turf. The horse to beat is Mahogany HVP. He is sired by Power World JQ and Magnum Rose HVP (Magnum Psyche) and won this race in 2016. The GP Munjiz is the first Grade 3 race for Purebred Arabians in Brazil and has an astonishing R$ 45,000.00 purse.

The incredible Grey Horse, bred by Agropecuária Vila dos Pinheiros is in great form and will try to beat the record of Attentado VE, the best Purebred Arabian that ever raced in Brazil.

As fantastic as he is, Mahogany HVP will run against seven very strong competitors. Heron HVP, a serious contender in the race, is a record holder on the 1.400 meters, Turf, with a time of 1'34"655 last October. The Bay Horse, who also belongs to Agropecuária Vila dos Pinheiros and is sired by Fa El Shawan out of Hushahby Bey (Bey Shah), is looking for this Grade 3 win, as he already won the first Listed Race in Brazil.

Another serious contender is Marei Rach who isn’t a record holder, but did win a Listed Race in Brazil last May, during the festival of Grande Prêmio São Paulo (G1), for Thoroughbreds.
Bred by Rach Stud Agropecuária, Marei Rach won the Clássico Jamil Saliba - HARC (Listed Race) on the same distance, 1.400 meters, Turf, which will be an advantage for this horse by Voltaire Rach e Melina Rach (HsTitian).
Rhondo Rach (record holder on the 1.000 meters, Turf), Kazan, Velozter, Acalanto and Mozart HVP will also run in the GP Munjiz, Grade 3 race for Horses of 4 & Up in Brazil.
